Ice Hockey

The climate of Canada has accommodated Ice Hockey for decades. The true origins of ice hockey is controversial. In 2008, the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) declared the first game of ice hockey in Montreal, Quebec,1875. However, research claims that ice hockey was first played in England. Canada marked its contributions in Ice Hockey since the 1870s and reshaped the sports by the 20th century.With many National Hockey League (NHL) teams from various of cities in Canada, the NHL is watched by most Canadians. 

The Bell Centre in Montreal is a popular arena were many Ice hockey playoffs is being held.

Basketball

The inventor of basketball, James Naismith, is interestingly a Canadian. Basketball began in Canada in 1946; however, it became popular in 1994 when NBA established franchises to Toronto Raptors and Vancouver Grizzlies. In 2019, the Toronto Raptors defeated the Golden State Warriors and claimed the National Basketball Association (NBA) championship, which marked Canada in Professional Basketball.
The Rogers Place in Edmonton is a popular arena where many Basketball games are being held.

Baseball

The first recorded baseball game in Canada was played in Beachville, Ontario, on June 4, 1838. Toronto Blue Jays baseball team joined the American League in 1977. They won the World Series in 1992 and 1993. Baseball attracts millions of Canadians every year, especially during the American Leagues.
The Rogers Centre in Toronto is a popular arena where many Baseball games are being held.
