Right from craft markets to huge Christmas trees, there are activities for all ages.  So, why wait? Some of the places worth visiting for the Christmas or New Year’s eve are:

The Peak of Christmas at Grouse Mountain, often known as Vancouver’s north pole,  has a lot in store for everyone including Christmas lights, ice skating, snowshoeing, skiing, and snowboarding and a lot of other winter sports activities. It also features one of the best views of Vancouver at night. Not just this, one can also enjoy holiday movies, sleigh rides, musical concerts with choirs, visits with Santa Claus, and a collection of gingerbread house displays. Skate into the New Year at The Shipyards Skate Plaza! Start your new year eve celebrations off by skating to live music from 6-8 p.m.

Date: December 31, 2022

Time: 1 – 8pm (regular hours of operation)

Place: The Shipyards Skate Plaza, North Vancouver

Admission: FREE, skate rentals are available at a cost of $7 for adults and $5 for children (quantities are limited)

  • New Year Eve Varity Show

Suitable for people of all ages, New Year Eve Variety Show is a great option for celebrating New Year’s Eve indoors that will be featuring comedic jugglers, aerialists, acrobats, magicians and live music.

  • Capilano Suspension Bridge Park

Do you want to spend the last day of the year at the glowing Capilano Suspension bridge that is transformed into an illusion or a magical world? Cross the bridge with end-to-end colour-changing lights with a view of the beautiful & calm illuminated Capilano river. Perfect way to spend the last day of the year!

Ticket Price: CAD 62.95 for adults. 

Students above the age of 18 must show their Student ID to be eligible for a discounted ticket of $49.95 + tax CAD.
