Attention international students! Submit your complete study permit application for the fall 2021 semester by May 15, 2021 and you will get a decision by August 6, 2021. You will be in time to attend for the fall semester.
Students can still continue to submit study permit after May 15, 2021, IRCC will process it as quickly as possible—but you may not get a final decision before the fall semester begins.
To be able to enter Canada as a student, you must
- have a valid study permit or a letter of introduction that shows you were approved for a study permit
- be attending a designated learning institution (DLI) with a COVID-19 readiness plan approved by its province or territory
If you don’t have your official Quebec Acceptance Certificate (CAQ) in time to apply by May 15, 2021, you can submit the acknowledgement of receipt you got when you applied for your CAQ with your study permit application.
