Perfect places for the holiday time cheer

The most awaited time of the year has finally arrived, and we are about to welcome Christmas and new year, the celebrations of which are incomplete without family, friends, events, and night markets. So, here are a bunch of places where you can go with your near & dear ones and have an amazing time this festive season! There are many places in and around Vancouver to witness sparkling Christmas lights, admire seasonal decorations and enjoy the festive winter holiday season, a few of which are listed below!

Fly Over Canada, Soar with Santa

Do you want to feel immersed in Santa’s winter wonderland? Then Soar with Santa at Fly Over Canada is just for you. This is a perfect chance to get immersed in a magical ride to soar with Santa across Canada and the North Pole and have that experience that you always dreamt about as a child. It is worth it as you must have never flown like Santa Claus before! Perfect way to get those cheerful smiles! Tickets are usually between $27 to $33 for adults.

PNE Winter Fair

The PNE has good plan for the holiday season too! The event would run for ten magical nights and will also feature a nightly Christmas-themed concert series which is going to be very attractive for the people of all age groups. Also, one of the main highlights will be a large indoor skating rink, a winter market, delicious food, and beverages for your belly. Not just this, you can even enjoy a sparkling walk-through winter light! 

Highlights at PNE

  • If you are fond of ice skating, then you can do this winter activity with your family and friends as well. It is indoor so you can enjoy this fun filled activity with music and hot beverages.
  • Winter Lights presented by BC Hydro – Walk through the glowing lights and beautiful displays and enjoying being inside light tunnels. You can also experience the northern lights in these tunnels. 
  • Admire the most attractive 50ft decorated and lighted Christmas tree with some music. 
  • Outdoor Holiday market where you can take a stroll for a perfect holiday with your friends & enjoy shopping and find perfect Christmas gifts for your loved ones. 
  • Join the Jingle jam Christmas party where you can sing your favourite Christmas carols.

Bright nights at Stanley Park 

Enjoy the Christmas lights and displays at Stanley Park junction full of twinkling lights perfect for a holiday time cheer. There will be lot of food options and live entertainment. Admission is by donation.

Dates: December 1, 2022 – January 1, 2023, 4:00pm – 10:00pm

Location: Pipeline Road in Stanley Park, Vancouver. Entrance is from west Georgia street park.

Skate at Robson square

If ice skating is your passion, then you must visit Robson square ice rink which is the most popular ice-skating rink in Vancouver. It is a magical place where you can enjoy this wonderful winter activity with your family and friends. You can rent your skates in 5$ and get the helmets free of charge included in the price.

Dates: December 1, 2022 – February 28, 2023, 9:00am – 9:00pm (Sunday to Thursday), 9:00am – 11:00pm (Friday and Saturday)

Location: 800 Robson St, Vancouver, BC 

Tickets: Entry is free

Vancouver Christmas Market

Do you want to enjoy Carousel rides with your family and friends? If yes, then this place is just for you. This market has everything in store for you to make sure you cherish those perfect holiday moments

Dates: This market will remain open until December 24, 2023

11:30am – 9:30pm (Monday to Thursday), 9:00am – 10:00pm (Friday and Saturday)

Location: Jack pool plaza, Vancouver, BC
