Stanley Park – A must-visit destination in Vancouver

Stanley Park is one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in Vancouver, British Columbia. If you want to experience the natural beauty of BC, then this park is a must-visit, especially in the summer season. It provides relief from the hustle and bustle of Vancouver. It has amazing and mesmerizing scenic views that would take your breath away!

Stanley Park is spread over 400 hectares and is surrounded by water, mountains, and majestic tall trees along its famous Seawall. 

Not just this, it is the home of beautiful trails, beaches, local wildlife, and cultural and historical landmarks. Canada’s largest aquarium is also located here and because of this, Stanley Park is one of the best choices for millions of tourists who come to visit Canada. How can you access the park?

Stanley Park is conveniently located. You can easily walk, bike, take transit, or drive. If you are going by the Skytrain you can get down at Waterfront Station. You can also take rental bikes along the Seawall.

  • Vancouver Aquarium

The Vancouver Aquarium is the largest aquarium in Canada and is in the heart of Stanley Park. In addition to being a major tourist attraction for Vancouver, the aquarium is a center for marine research. You can find beautiful aquatic creatures and once inside, you won’t want to come out! It is good for people of all age groups.

  • Dine-in at famous Cafes

You can dine in at one of the park’s best restaurants while enjoying the beauty of the ocean. This is the perfect plan for a warm sunny day. A few names of the cafes include Prospect Point Cafe, The Tea House Restaurant, and Waterfall Cafe where you can sit and relax while enjoying the cool breeze. Also, there are various food carts where you can indulge in local foods and snacks. 

  • Gardens 

There are beautiful gardens with awesome flora making the view picturesque. The gardens include Rose Garden, Shakespeare Garden, and Stanley Park Rock Garden. You can grab your camera to catch the beautiful creation and have a nice photoshoot at these locations. These gardens are worth the visit if you are visiting between June to mid-September. You will be amazed at many colours of roses.

  • Horse-drawn Tours

It is an approximate one-hour professionally narrated tour on old fashion 26-person horse-drawn carriage, which takes you around about half of Stanley Park. You simply must sit back relax and enjoy the beauty of Stanley Park!

  • The Seawall in Vancouver

Vancouver has the world’s longest uninterrupted waterfront path including the Stanley Park Seawall, which extends from the Vancouver Convention Centre to Spanish Banks Park. It is perfect for a walk, bike, or jog. The pathway is divided for walkers or joggers and bikers separately.
